On first glance this game reminded me of old isometric platformers like Solstice, but it has too many basic playability issues that prevent it from being a nostalgic replica of those classic games. The controls are floaty and have an unresponsive, delayed feel to them. The game also has glaring problems with invisible collision, like the fact that you often get stuck on doorways and have to jump through them. There are also invisible walls in some areas that block you for no apparent reason. For the amount of effort that went into building the game's environments, it's puzzling that the developer would neglect to polish up the fundamental gameplay mechanics. If the game had been in early access or a new release I'd have hoped for updates to fix these problems, but it doesn't look like there will be any more development on this title which is too bad because it does seem like there is a decent game hiding somewhere in this mess.
